Rebirth

This was a piece I did around the beginning of October this year. It's an identity project we did in my art class where we had to create a piece that represented something about us. I chose to look at a dark part of my history and how I came from that, and so this was the product. I'd love to hear your interpretation of it's meaning!

And the girl is me, done based off of several references.

(Also I'm sorry about the crappy image quality, the background is supposed to be pitch black but it reflected some of the light and was slightly bent up. :/ I'll work on getting a better photo ASAP)
